These Are the Most Exciting Sneaker Releases For the Rest of 2024 Features

Keeping track of all your anticipated games’ release dates is a futile task without a little help, so GameSpot has broken down all the games planned for release in 2025. This includes games that have concrete dates, as well as those given a 2025 release window–for the latter, you’ll find them grouped together at the end. We’ll continue to update this post as more games are announced, and check here for all the games released in 2024.

One of The Game Awards 2024’s biggest surprises, Elden Ring Nightreign is a co-op multiplayer spinoff of FromSoftware’s hit open-world RPG. Teams of three players will take on a series of enemies in 40-minute matches, growing stronger on their way to challenge imposing bosses. It’s an unusual project for FromSoftware and one that could finally fulfill the desire of many fans to play through Elden Ring with multiplayer that isn’t a pain. After Monster Hunter Worlds brought Capcom’s venerable co-op series to whole new audiences, Monster Hunter Wilds looks poised to bring even more hunters into the fold. Set in a vast ecosystem that’s more reactive to players than ever before, Monster Hunter Wilds continues the series’ tightrope walk of adding more complexity for returning players without totally baffling newcomers.

Most Anticipated Releases of the Year

Not in Cairn, the latest from The Game Bakers, which digs into every placed piton and strained arm muscle to pull you from one ledge to the next. Freeform, it’s up to you to plan your route and execute the climb, moments of rest providing room to manage resources as you ready yourself for the next leg, and to meet others who are also compelled to climb. Cairn asks what pushes us to take on and overcome challenges, and just why we chase the next high.

Movie sequel will be The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, inspired by the eponymous Nintendo Wii title. We don’t know much else about the film other than the release date and the returning cast, so stay tuned for more details. Blumhouse’s latest film about terrifying toys is Soulm8te, releasing early 2026. This spin-off of M3GAN sees a humanlike AI doll (Lily Sullivan) strike up a connection with David Rysdahl’s lonely character after his wife’s passing.

The project emerged from Gyllenhaal’s creative efforts as writer and producer who found inspiration in James Whale’s 1935 “Bride of Frankenstein” while developing a contemporary version. Netflix unveiled the production in August 2023 before Annette Bening joined the project’s cast in January 2024. The director presents a bold feminist adaptation of Frankenstein set in 1930s Chicago. The story tells how Frankenstein asks Dr. Euphronius to assist him in building a companion.

South of Midnight looks set to offer a world of wonder to explore (or hack through) when it launches later this year, and despite lacking a firm release date, we can’t keep our eyes off it. Monster Hunter has always been a behemoth, but there’s no denying that Monster Hunter World marked a new chapter for the franchise. Monster Hunter Wilds is attempting to follow up on that success, which for most games is an unenviable position. I’ve played the game twice, and I am fairly confident that it’s achieved that.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

The significance of “The Little Mermaid,” both historically for Disney Animation Studios and personally for millions of little girls around the world, is monumental. Little white girls, like me, got to see themselves as Disney princesses growing up because literally every single one of them (pre-Pocahontas, and that’s a whole other conversation) was white. We got to imagine ourselves as royalty, scholars, or just people worthy of attention, validation, and even basic human decency. Alright, enough with the yammering and Pokémon references, here are /Film’s 30 most anticipated movies of 2023. André Holland is a successful artist living with his wife (Andra Day) and son when his estranged father (John Earl Jelks) re-enters the picture, hoping to repair their relationship.

A concept from screenwriter Stephen McFeely ultimately swayed the directing duo to take on the project. The film marks the 39th installment of the MCU and it belongs to Phase Six.In this film Downey plays the role of the famous villain Victor von Doom which is different from his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the previous films. The writers of the script love their villains when they think they are heroes in their stories as well as when they have an actor like Robert Downey as an actor. Milly Alcock, known for his role in House of the Dragon, plays Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, in this adaptation of the comic miniseries by Tom King, which is the newest installment in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe.

The first-person action-adventure game was developed by Retro Studios and will be published by Nintendo. After making an appearance in the animated Harley Quinn and Creature Commandos series, the iconic Batman villain Clayface returns to screens in his own live-action film. The film has been classified as a horror-thriller tragedy by producers Matt Reeves and Lynn Harris. While plot and cast details have not been revealed yet, it will be directed by James Watkins, whose experience in dark thrillers like Eden Lake and Speak No Evil (2024) should serve him well here.

Problem is, the real pain of the long Hollywood strikes won’t be felt until 2024 or later. The movies that rolled out in 2023 were made before writers and actors hit the picket lines. Movies that didn’t film during the strikes were supposed to come out next year; now they’re delayed. Nicholas Galitzine (Red, White & Royal Blue) stars as Prince Adam, who is marooned on Earth at age 10 and separated from his magical sword. As a grown-up, he fulfills his destiny as He-Man and battles for the fate of his home planet Eternia.

It does that with a helpful new mount, AI-controlled companions, and, of course, plenty of new monsters to turn into fashionable armor. Scroll on to see Deadline’s 30 most anticipated films and their release dates. The Knives Out franchise welcomes a new mystery, starring Daniel Craig as the famous detective Benoit Blanc. While not much is known about the plot, this film has been titled as the detective’s most dangerous case yet.

Plenty of extraction shooters have come and gone, but there’s something uniquely compelling about Arc Raiders. Combining retro-futurist aesthetics with a truly lush-if-desolate world, Arc Raiders offers a world that really does feel challenging to survive (and extract from), yet also one worth the trip. With the strange ARC machines always on the hunt, scavenging materials from the world isn’t easy, but it’s all needed to help Speranza, the underground home that is your sole sanctuary. With such a harsh world, you’ll need to squad up anime quiz and forge alliances with fellow Raiders in order to survive, but some Raiders will be just as willing to take it all for themselves too.

Written by Tony McNamara (Poor Things) and directed by Jay Roach (Bombshell), The Roses is based on Danny DeVito’s award-winning 1989 adaptation of the novel The War of the Roses. This new venture into Woodsboro’s traumatic legacy is intended to hand off the reins to a new generation, as further evidenced by Sydney Prescott’s (Neve Campbell) absence. So far, the tone of the latest installment seems spot on, though the biggest issue I had with “Scream” (2022) concerned the decidedly uncharacteristic way certain characters were …
